Maverick was founded to provide the foodservice industry with solutions designed by those who understand its unique challenges. Many existing tools, marketing strategies, and networks are created by individuals without direct experience in the field.

We offer a different approach because we have firsthand experience in the industry.

Why Maverick exists

Two sides that already needed each other.

Most chefs already do the things brands pay agencies for. Test products, talk about what works, tell their network what's worth buying, make content in their kitchens. It just wasn't captured, wasn't paid, and wasn't connected to the brands that would've benefited from it.

Most brands already need what chefs do. Real product feedback, real operator voice, real sell-through to the people downstream of a chef's opinion. It just wasn't available in any coherent form.

Maverick connects the two sides. A collective of working chefs, a team that builds the systems around them, and a model that lets brands and chefs work together in a way that respects what both sides bring.

The team

Three co-founders.

Maverick has three co-founders: Daniel Asher, Nick Lanoil, and Allyson Murphy. Daniel leads the Maverick Culinary Collective as Founding Chef. We share a belief that the world runs on food, and on the people who make it.

What we believe
